Culture and what we expect

Dragon Shooting is a live-fire range. Everything here starts from one idea: a safe visit is shared work between you, the people you came with and your instructor.

We expect calm, attentive behaviour. Showing off, hurrying and fooling around on the firing line are treated as safety violations, not high spirits.

Respect for other guests, for staff and for the equipment is a condition of being here, not a courtesy.

These are the club's own house rules. Where the law is stricter, the law applies; where the club is stricter than the law, the club's rule applies on our premises.

Safety procedures and range commands

The instructor's commands are carried out immediately and without discussion. There is no situation in which arguing with a command is appropriate.

“STOP” from anyone — a guest, an instructor, any member of staff — stops all shooting at once: finger off the trigger, muzzle downrange, wait for the instructor.

Every firearm is treated as loaded. The muzzle never points at anything you are not willing to destroy, and your finger stays off the trigger until the sights are on the target.

Eye and ear protection is worn by everyone in the firing area, including people who are only watching.

You stay behind the firing line unless the instructor says otherwise, and you never go downrange on your own.

Anything unexpected — a malfunction, damaged equipment, another guest behaving unsafely — goes to the instructor instead of being sorted out by you.

Every visit starts with a safety briefing from the instructor. It is mandatory, experienced shooters included.

Alcohol, substances and fitness to shoot

Zero tolerance. Anyone under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication that affects reaction or judgement is not allowed on the firing line, and the session is not refunded.

Alcohol is not consumed at the range before or during shooting.

Tell the instructor about a medical condition, medication, pregnancy or injury that could affect you. This stays with the instructor for the duration of your visit; the system does not record it.

Staff may refuse or stop a session at any moment if, in their judgement, a participant is not in a fit state to shoot. That decision applies on the spot and is not negotiated on the firing line.

Firearms and club property

Firearms, ammunition and equipment are used only under instructor supervision and only for their intended purpose.

Do not touch a firearm or any equipment until the instructor allows it.

Never disassemble, modify, repair or dry-fire a firearm yourself.

Never hand a firearm to another person, including someone from your own group. It goes back to the instructor.

Your own firearms or ammunition may be brought onto the range only by prior written agreement with the club.

You are liable for damage you cause to club property, to other people or to their belongings through improper use of equipment or by disregarding these rules and the instructor's commands, and you are required to make it good.

Everything issued to you is returned at the end of the session. Ammunition is not taken off the range.

Participants under 18

Participants must be at least 18 years old and carry a valid ID card or travel document. Staff may ask to see it.

From 18 April 2027 this is also a statutory requirement in Serbia: under the new Law on Weapons and Ammunition a user of a civilian shooting range must be an adult, and use by minors is prohibited apart from the exceptions the law makes for members of sport shooting clubs. Until then the club's own 18+ rule is the stricter one and it is the one we apply.

People under 18 may come along as spectators only, at the club's discretion, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and only outside the firing area. They do not handle firearms or ammunition.

Photography and video

You may photograph and film yourself and the group you came with.

Photographing or filming other guests, or having them in the frame, needs their consent. If a guest objects, staff will ask you to stop.

Staff working positions, the armoury, security equipment and access areas are not filmed or photographed.

Phones and cameras stay out of your hands on the firing line. Pictures are taken when the instructor says the line is clear.

The club may photograph and film for its own promotion. If you would rather not appear, tell the instructor before the session — that is enough, no explanation needed.

Consequences of breaking the rules

Breaking a safety rule or refusing an instructor's command ends your participation on the spot, and the session is not refunded.

A serious or repeated breach means you will not be admitted to the club again.

For members it also means the membership status is cancelled, and the membership fee is not refunded.

Conduct that puts people in danger, and any damage caused, may be reported to the authorities and pursued as a claim for compensation.
